I think if you go on about it enough your spouse/partner get used to it, mine did pretty quick! Soom fool :) decided to open a photographic shop three doors up from my house, their used OM gear placed prominently in the window (There's a nice 500mm Tamron catadipotric in there at the moment for #190 but that's another story!). Every night without fail my girlfriend slows down outside the shop just so I can have a look. I think I've got her convinced! Now to convince her that shelling out my life savings on a nuclear bunker is a good idea.......

All the best,
Gareth.

I see your point. So in addition to my 18/3.5 and 24/2.8, I need not only the 55/1.2 and the 50/1.2 (to find out which is best), but also the 21/2.0, the 28/2.0 and the 35/2.0. Oh, and of course, why not the 24/2.0 as well.... :o)
Thank you all for your kind advice! This list is terrific!

Indeed!

Now...., Will anyone help me talk to my wife about this? ;-)

That's what the ZA meetings are for, to lure those close to us into understanding our problem and coming to see why they need to support us in our habit. Making them sound like AA, NA, etc. is just a ploy to 'get 'em into the tent'. By the time you get to the end of the alphabet, things are not always as they seem........... [deep, fiendish laugh follows]
