The 18mm/3.5 also uses a 49mm screw thread, with a 49mm-72mm step up ring on
which to mount filters. While you may find it hard to get hold of one of
those, you could use the same approach with an aftermarket product. For
example 49mm-55mm look to be easily available for $5.

Thin filters oftentimes do not have a thread onto which to screw a lens
hood. A hood on a wide angle lens is one of my top priorities whenever the
sun is out. Assuming that there will be a high concentration of UV and sun
light in the Bolivivan Andesa UV filter and a lens hood will be necessities.
