May be the user has no idea about shutter speed or what shutter speed
he/she can hold. There is immediate shutter/aperture data when you
half press the shutter on S-30/45 when LCD turn on. If you are
shooting at 1/2s or 1/4s then there is no chance. Even you forgot to
check the shutter you will still immediate see the result after
shooting. Ok, the screen is small but it should be able to give you a
rough idea.

That is one of my major complain, there is no focal length info on
many compact DC but this seems to be true also for compact film
camera. The perspective exaggeration may not be very bad as what you
get is 35mm the widest except one or two models that go to 28mm.
