I've wondered about Cosina lenses before. I see them all the time in German auctions, but I'm not sure I've ever seen them for sale in the States (and don't speak enough German to conduct business...heh...I plug the ads into Sherlock and read the bits that aren't garbled).

As I said several times, the 40/2 is my favorite focal length. The View angle just seems so right to me. I like the Zuiko 40/2, but its performance at F2 always seems a wee bit soft to me. Could be just me of course. So.......

I think I am going to order a CV 40/2. Keith Quarles has one, but he has not answered my email about its quality. I know it's bigger (almost as big as the 50/1.8) and the focus turns the other way, but I am looking for the "best" picture qualities within the compromises I am making so I think I will give this a try. This will make it my first non-Zuiko since I was afflicted with the disease. What do you all think?
