I think that made me laugh, is the Leica owner expected such a HUGE
difference, that he felt it would be visible at any magnification..
(He's a new Leica owner).. he was thoroughly disappointed.
But I can tell you though, 4x6 aside; the slide film comparisons were
damn sharp too... Again, neither of us (maybe unprofessional eyes) can
see the difference..

Well, if 4 x 6 prints are the standard of quality any inexpensive 2 or
3 megapixel digital camera should give you equal results. Go for it.
