Thanks Roger

but the item in question went out of my price range a few seconds after I
found out just how much a 62mm polarising filter is going to cost me :-(

another day maybe

Ian

Hang onto the tokina hood a couple of days, I may need it :-)

I've spare OM 35-70 hood - I think its for an f4, it seems to clamp onto
the
outside of a 55mm wde lens. I've also now a spare Tamron 35-80.

Perhaps we should start a list of 'interesting' but 'unneeded'
lenshoods, that people have acquired. I have, for instance, a Tokina AT-X
90/2.5 55mm hood , a Zuiko 21mm 3.5 / 35mm shift hood, several Zuiko
35-70/f4 hoods, a 35-105/3.5-4.5 hood, and a 'reserve' 35-70/3.6 hood.

Fortunately I have one of those with my 35-80 SP. It is also marked
'1:3.5-4.5 35-70', so you might find it with one of those lenses (model
09A) (generally a good deal cheaper than the 35-80 SP). Be warned that it
is a rubber hood that stores flat, and has a tendency to revert to the flat
format whilst mounted on the lens. It gives very little flare protection at
80mm.

And I'd like one for the Tamron 35-80 SP please :-)

If anyone knows where I can find a lenshood for the Tamron SP 24-48mm lens,
I would be very grateful!
