G'day Zuiks,
On the subject of Tamron 35-80's I've just been given (by a mate who
retrieved it from the local tip) a Tamron 35-80/f2.8~3.5 Macro marked 'BBAR
MULTIC'. It's been well used but the glass is clear and a little attention
to the blades which tend to stick a little and perhaps a lube on the barrel
may be all it needs. Is this the same lens that Roger is writing about?
Actually, it was attached to a working OM-2 which can probably be restored
to reasonably pristine order.

Fortunately I have one of those with my 35-80 SP. It is also marked
'1:3.5-4.5 35-70', so you might find it with one of those lenses (model
09A) (generally a good deal cheaper than the 35-80 SP). Be warned that it
is a rubber hood that stores flat, and has a tendency to revert to the flat
format whilst mounted on the lens. It gives very little flare protection at
80mm.
