I understand that in order to scan slides with a flatbed
scanner you need some sort of gadget. Some scanners come
with this thing in the box.
Is it possible to get one seperatly. And if so where?

Even if your scanner takes one designed for it, you may find it is
cheaper to buy new scanner with one built in. Probably higher quality
too.
