Well, the most important being preservation of vertical lines while
photographing architecture, but also ingeniously shifting the vantage
point off-center to create an effect similar to those early Michelangelo
paintings that had 2 vanishing points.
Many use this lens for panoramic stitching, it can be used for product
shots, lateral shift will reduce oblique angles in pictures.... The list
goes on. Maybe this should be a new survey - Your Best use of the 35
Shift! ;)
