A small ice chest just big enough for the traditional six pack is
quite cheap and does not take up much room. One of those blue ice
gel packs will protect the film boxes from a watery grave. Even if
you do not have access to a freezer on the trip, just leaving it
outside at those latitudes at night will help and will provide a
small heat sink inside the little chest. Even without the gel pack
the little insulated box will even out the temperature variations.
