I recently acquired a 28-48/f4. I am very pleased with the photos it
renders. I like to fill the frame. With this lens, presupposing that you
want a "wide" shot, you can frame very precisely. It is a very sharp lens
in the midrange of f-stops.
All in all it is a nice addition to one's arsenal. Without getting into a
long winded discussion of "prime" vs. "zoom", I have to say that for general
situations, if you have a 28-48 and a 35-70, you have alot of bases covered.
