Well, as someone trying to learn more and more on the business side of
photography I would suggest money ;-) From what information I have
inside page publication typically gets the same rates as inside
editorial. Need to know circulation to provide an accurate quote, but I
would suggest a range of $USD50.00 at the bottom to $USD500.00. A
nominal number is ~$USD150.00. Take the $$$ and use a little to buy a
copy of the book ;-)

Go to editorialphoto.com for links to some really useful information as
well as some good delivery memo contracts, etc.

Also, given the rarity of the images you might try formally copyrighting
them, but I'm sorry that I can't advise on the process to do so in
Canada.

While on the topic, with more and more ad agency type inquiries coming
my way (which is a good thing) I tend to struggle a lot with
establishing rate quotes. Resources I presently use include Rohn Engh's
book "Sell & Re-sell Your Photos" along with the editorialphoto.com
links and guides (mostly for editorial rates there). I'm thinking about
buying "fotobiz" software (which includes "fotoquote"). Anyone here
tried it? Any other good suggestions for establishing rates????
