Can anyone comment on in what situations you use your BG2, or how often, benefits of using it, etc.?

Any PJ (photo-journalist) type situation in which I don't want to use the camera rotating flash bracket and/or flash recharge time needs to be short. It's the next best thing to the rotating bracket. The BG2 keeps the flash *above* the lens both horizontally and vertically, albeit not directly above it as a more complex flash bracket does. It's still better than having the flash in the hot shoe directly to the side of the lens when shooting a vertical!

If you think an OM with BG2 and T-32 is heavy, try picking up some of the *other* rigs that are similarly set up (Nikon F2/F3HP and Canon F-1/A-1 come to mind)!
