Chris,
I have a D2400UF and I am quite satisfied with the results that I get with
it.
I am not a professional photographer, so I guess you could bear that in mind
when considering my input. The slides that I have scanned have come out
pretty darned good, in my opinion, although I will say that the scanner
produces huge files when using the highest resolution scan mode. They can be
in the area of 400 meg.
For the investment, I think it is great. The prints that come out of my
printer (HP 1218) are almost as good as what I would get from a photo lab.
