Dear C.H.,

Reading about your problems with copying glossy photographs, I just recall an 
advice from somewhere, which might be useful in this situation:

Use a piece of black matte cardboard large enough to hide any camera, tripod or 
backlight and cut a hole in it just large enough for the lens. You could also 
attach the cardboard to a filter ring for a more permanent device.
