recomended combination?"

I rarely use the bounce grip without a winder or motor. Without a winder or
motor the bounce grip needs to be mounted on the left side of the camera -
meaning you have to focus and shoot all with your right hand. Add a
winder/motor and an M. Grip cord and now you have the bounce grip in your
right hand, with your finger on the shutter button on the grip. Your left
hand is free to focus, zoom, and adjust aperture. If you can't find a genuine
M. Grip Cord they should be easy to make from Radio Shack parts (a pair of
2.5mm mini plugs and a few inches of 2 conductor cable).

Any of the winders or motors should work fine, with the exception of the very
early MD-1's which don't have the 2.5mm trigger socket.

Hope this helps,
