I second this. I've spent several hundred hours with the recommended
combination hanging from the fingers of my right hand and supported by the
wrist strap. It's comfortable and quick to raise into firing position. /jim

Yes.
Winder 2 with both BG2 and with Metz G16 (equivalent to BG2 for Metz MZ32
and MZ40 flash units).

No.  See recommended combination.

IMO, yes.
Without winder, put BG2 on left side.  With winder, put the BG2 on the
right side and cable the trigger button on the BG2 to the winder.  Same
recommendation when using Metz G16.  Shoe cord works well with OM's that
have built-in hot shoe.  Other cords with TTL Connector for top of prism on
OM-1[n] and OM-2[n] work just as well.  If you use a camera strap and let
it hang around your neck, it will be heavy on the right side and tend to
pull on that side.  I have a wrist strap on both the BG2 and G16 and tend
not to use the neck strap much in this configuration.
