Has anyone used a bounce grip with a winder or motor?

Yes.
Winder 2 with both BG2 and with Metz G16 (equivalent to BG2 for Metz MZ32 and MZ40 flash units).

Does this cause any interesting problems?

No. See recommended combination.

Is there a recomended combination?

IMO, yes.
Without winder, put BG2 on left side. With winder, put the BG2 on the right side and cable the trigger button on the BG2 to the winder. Same recommendation when using Metz G16. Shoe cord works well with OM's that have built-in hot shoe. Other cords with TTL Connector for top of prism on OM-1[n] and OM-2[n] work just as well. If you use a camera strap and let it hang around your neck, it will be heavy on the right side and tend to pull on that side. I have a wrist strap on both the BG2 and G16 and tend not to use the neck strap much in this configuration.
