The sharpie is also great for marking the film canister with a new ASA if
I push
the film. I buy most of my film in 36, but some films that I do not use
often, or
for specific subjects I will purchase in 24 exp rolls.

I have done this in the past, but was worried that the chemicals in the
sharpie markers might adversely effect the film especially if left for a
while in a film canister. What are your thoughts?
