Kodachromes will withstand 1-4 hours of projection depending on projector factors: lamp intensity and how hot the slide gets. Ektachromes will withstand 2-6 hours depending on the same factors. The measurement standard accepted by most is about a 10 0.000000ade in the color layer most susceptible to fading. Ektachromes are not that much better. I don't believe any of my most used Kodachromes for family slide shows have seen even 15 minutes of projection.

For continuous loop or a canned slide show that will be given frequently (on the talk circuit ??), use slide dupes and keep the originals archived, whether it's Kodachrome or Ektachrome!!
