 I'm not sure how critical this level of adjustment is -- as far as I can
tell, all you need is for the lens to be fully stopped down before you
shoot, and that's pretty easy to do just by pressing one all the way in,
then the other. It does mean that I have to either roll my thumb, or take a
bit longer getting the shot than I might want, but that's not critical.

 (that said, the two cables I'm going to be cannibalising are completely
different anyway, so I won't be too surprised if they mount offset just
because of that).
