I love Scotland, but a week in the rain in Badachro near Gairloch
tested my 16 year-old son's filial loyalty somewhat in July this year
("why are we going *North* for our holidays, when everyone else goes
*South*?).
The second week, further south on the Crinan Canal made up for it, as
well as the seriously prehistoric settlements that are still there
(3,000 BC I believe). Before that I had been very impressed with the
1,000BC temple in Turkey that I visited last year.
OM content: I took loads of photos with three cameras and I haven't
scanned one yet.... better get on with it!

Some of my best (and worst!!) photos were taken there...fantasitc evening
light in the summer...like lots of northern latitudes you can read a book
outdoors at 11p.m. in June. I'll be there next in October...dusting of
snow on the mountains, stags rutting, frozen condensation in the tent!
Smoked bacon for breakfast.....smoked whisky at night!!

This weekend I'm off to the Welsh mountains with my Pen F and OM 40 (PC to
you)- nice enough.
