| Here are my suggestions:

| 1. Now that we have control of subscriptions I think I might say that I
think
| off topic posts should be completely eliminated. I know this won't be
popular
| but it's the only way that we can totally bang any flames on the head
| immediately.
This will gut the life and soul of the list. Most OT threads don't last
that long. I enjoyed the story of Tom's motorcycle ride, for instance. If
its strictly business, the "friends" atmosphere will suffer and membership
will decline.

| 2. I also think this should mean that an individual should be able to be
| forcefully unsubscribed if they breach this rule 3 times in a week.

| 3. Decisions on unsubscribing someone should be made by a disciplinary
team of
| three. The OM trinity if you would.
Are we running a penal colony here?

| 4. Introduction of a new beginners list. Newbies should be thoroughly
vetted
| on this new list for a period of 18 months before they can join the older
| elite list. I for one don't like sharing the same space with people who
ask
| annoying questions we've answered for the umpteenth time.
And who will answer newbie questions on the beginner list?
In any field of endeavor people learn from the "old heads".
This is what makes the world go around. Were you not ever a beginner?
