Hi John

I have tried your suggestion, and was wondering whether this was why I had slippage problems.

I actually put the rect QR plates onto the camera or winder base running lengthwise rather than perpendicular to the axis as indicated by the manufacturer and that seems to help with clearance a little. I do this with some of the lens collar QR as well - otherwise they just wouldn't work, but clearance is still tight.

With this arrangement I end up with the QR lever poking out the back of the camera, rather than underneath it and to the side. The Tokina 80-200 F2.8 is another I have probs with.

I found that on my Bogen 3262qr ball head that I could not mount the quick
release on the 300 4.5 the way that they said it should be so I turned it 90
degrees and just turn the head by that much when I change to that lens. It
seems to work ok and could not see that it would be a problem. John Gettis

Does anyone find that the QR plate fitted to the tripod mounting
collars on Zuiko's , (either a Bogen/Manftrotto hex plate QR, or even
one of the smaller Bogen/Manfrotto rectangular AR plates) collides
with the plate fixed to either camera bottom (if no MD attached) or
onto the MS/Winder?
