fireworks. A long enough exposure to see anything is lit up like day. I
did get a shot of the boats etc. but the fireworks were a dud photo
wise. Pretty nice to just watch though. Eyes have built in correction :)

Yes, the full moon was right on top of July 4th. Ours was pulled back to
June 30th (Saturday night), between the 3rd quarter and the full
moon. Selected the vantage point to avoid the moon rising behind the
fireworks. Now that you know where the moon rises there you can select a
different location next year (is that possible ??) to keep it from being
within view behind the sky display.
