Oben,

All of the 21/2 lenses are multicoated. The same is true of the 20/2 macro, 24/2, 24/3.5 PC, 28/2, 38/2.8 macro 50/1.2, 50/2 macro, 90/2 macro, 100/2, 135/4.5 macro, 180/2, 250/2, 350/2.8 and 35-80/2.8. There may be other lens units of which this is true but I'm fairly certain about these lenses. ;-)

Oben,

I was kidding about the SC/radioactive stuff.

My SN is 106335.

If I had to formulate an opinion, I'd say that you've got something in the threads of the focussing mechanism that have migrated to the close focus end of the threads and are cushioning the stop. Just a guess, though.

HTH!
