Mike,

Take Tom's offer and borrow a 50mm macro lens.  If you don't have a copy
stand, make sure your originals are aligned with the film plane.  This
can be harder than it sounds; you won't be able to discern slight
keystoning through the viewfinder.

Consider using Ilford XP2 (C41).  It's grainless. You'll compress the
tones, but you'll keep all of them on your negative. My wet darkroom
skills aren't great, and I wouldn't want to go through all that effort
and risk losing any dark/bright detail because my soup was off a bit.
