Nope! We'll abuse BOTH of you! :-)

Says he who left his 35-70/3.5-4.5 home when he left for a convention!
(Grin!)

Behave yourself, Tom! Hope you get a chance to take some pictures
while you're away!

Regards,

Chris

P.S. to PJ: By the time I read through your list of available gear, I
couldn't remember the beginning items! SHAME on you (and Tom!) for
hogging all the gear! :-)))

MY idea of an ideal kit for canoeing and trekking through the back
country would be:

- OM-1N or OM-2N (probably the 2N)
- OM-4T or OM-4Ti (probably the 4T)
- 24/2.8 (wonderful lens!)
- 34-70/3.5-4.5 (ditto!)
- 50/1.4 (ditto, again!)
- 50-250/5 (never owned one, but sounds like a good range)
- auto extension tubes (or the variable, but I don't own that)
- T20 or T32 (probably the T-32)
- maybe the 2xA (but you've to up to 250mm so do you *really* need
more than that?)

For me, that'd cover the range from 24mm to 250mm and would provide
capability for macro (use the 24/2.8 or 50/1.4 with the extension tubes),
and a flash. I'd leave the bellows, focusing stage, twin flash, and all the
other fancy-schmancy stuff at home.
