The Eyecup 1 does a better job of screening out light that may enter the
viewfinder of the OM1 and OM2 and skew meter readings. Samples of the
Eyecup 1 often sell for as much as an OM-G on ebay ($45), so consider the
Eyecup 2.
I find the Eyecup 2 to be much more comfortable, and it is still available
new.
Each take their own shape of diopter.
