Yes, I miswrote.  I meant to say I could see no *Hoya* thin circ PL in 49mm.

One disadvantage of the B+W is that the thin ones seem not to have outside
threads, so that threaded hoods and caps are impossible.

Anybody using a 55mm or 62mm circ PL with a step up ring?  I like the idea
of a step up ring until I start worrying whether the plane of the filter is
really parallel with the film plane.
