I'd say the Epic's 35/2.8 is comparable to the XA's lens. The XA tends more to
barrel distortion, IMHO. No, it's not as good as the old Zuiko 40/1.7. Again,
IMHO, if you want that lens and manual exposure, the RD is a great choice. But
even it, with it's protruding lens, isn't really pocketable. For that the flat
profile XA or Epic are the clear choices. So, once again, it depends on your
priorities.

Hi Scott

Thanks for your frank advise. If as you say an OM 1 is just as big, the SP
35 is not much better. In that case, should I want to get a small camera I
should be looking for an XA then. Talking of the Stylus epic, I get the
impression that the lenses used on current olympus cameras do not have the
same "zuiko" quality. Is this true?
