I think you have just gotten better with the excuses or alibis! Actually,
I think there are different reasons to shot photos, and many of them are
valid. When I was young and unmarried, I only used slide film and b&w
(cheaper) and seldom included humans in the shot, then I got married and
took documentation of where we had traveled with slides and prints. When
my kids grew up, I documented their growth and our family history on prints
so we could easily review it. Now, with my son, I am taking macro photos
(I can afford the equipment) and returning to my roots in b&w and slides
for esthetic reasons.

Yes, I use to get in trouble for staring at a girl because They were
pretty- Now I get in trouble for staring because of the lighting
contours and ratios on their face. Thank God after a certain age and a
certain weight, your seen as "harmless old gezzer". Did I say "face"?
