I've been biting my tongue during this discussion...
and I've just been deleting the entire thread without reading them.
But the "Subject:" on this one snookered me.
If you're going to discuss inflammatory topics, PLEASE make sure you
have an accurate "Subject:" so those of us who are easily inflamed
can ignore you!
(And to list newbies: no, this entire list is not populated by "pry
it from my dead hands" SUV-driving neo-Nazi right-wing extremists,
but in previous fire-fights, they've subdued all us quiche-eating
enviro "Save the nuclear unborn whales" left-wing extremists,
effectively transforming us from "pacifists" into "passivists,"
getting carpal-tunnel in our delete-key finger in order to read the
occasional Olympus post that rarely graces our screen, having bravely
made it through all the other noise...)
(Additional flame-bait: Human presence in National Parks should be
banned! All who live within 50 miles of work should be required to
bicycle commute or take public transportation! SUVs should be
required to get 50 miles per gallon -- and be retroactive to existing
SUVs! Handguns should be banned! Capital punishment for those caught
illegally dumping darkroom chemicals in their toilets, especially if
it's an illegal, high-flow toilet smuggled in from Canada! Nader in
