Hi,

Could be the x/fp switch on the lens mount got inadvertently switched to FP.  
A perennial problem with the OM-1.  If your OM-1 works with a standard 
strobe, it should work with a studio setup, presupposing the studio set up 
was ready to go vis a vis the charging of the capacitors, etc.
