: The F280 flash duration in super FP mode is between 1/40 and 1/25 second,
: depending upon who's data you read.

Both the manual of the F280 and the SIF say it varies from 1/50~1/25 sec
with the OM-4Ti; the number of flashes varies from 80-260 with Alkaline
batteries, depending on the shutter speeds. With the OM-707 the duration
varies from 1/70~1/30 sec. The question is what causes these variations if
you want to build your own FP trigger. The real quench btw that prevents
overexposure is made by the camera that treats Super FP light emission like
available light and selects a shorter shutter speed when necessary,
calculated during exposure OTF.

Another question is: why don't you just use your OM-4Ti if you want to do
Super FP?
