I feel this could start a long series of replies........
Warning - personal opinions expressed below which you may feel you
need to respond to........
For my 2p worth, I started with a 2sp/501.8 ; 2nd hand and fairly
well used for my 18th b'day present. First lens I added was the
135/3.5 as you can get them dirt cheap!!!! Never liked the zooms
except the 35-105 (I know, I'm now disowned by most of the rest of
the list), and the one lens i own which i rate above all the others
is my 100/2.8 silver nose. Not only does it look the dogs nads on the
front of my 1n, it takes beautiful shots.
Would also add a winder 2 to a "starter" kit , and the 28/2.8. In a
world where money is no object the 24/2 and motor drive 2 would be
nice.....
