| Will this prevent viewed images from being cached?  If not, it's a minor 
inconvenience to just retrieve a cached image and move or copy it to another 
directory. 
My preference is to put an inconspicuous copyright notice on the image and 
keep images small enough to discourage piracy for commercial use without 
discouraging viewing enjoyment. 
Other than that, there's not much we can do to protect our images in a 
market that's saturated and satisfied with mediocre image resolution.

Anyone who has quality graphics on their site might like to know of a 
simple 
piece of Javascript which prevents those with Internet Explorer from using
the right click and "Save Picture as" option to pinch your images (it
prevents the right click function):

I use Paint Shop Pro to put a copyright note in the corner of my images.
Neither is foolproof, but this is adequate for my purposes.
