Hello Zuikholics,
I´ve been using PhotoCD a lot and I must
say that is very tricky to get the colours into your
screen. The YCC conversion with CMS KODAK colour
conversion is very poor. The YCC gamut is wider than
RGB and when so much colour plays at the same time,
you must have care of what you do. It´s good to
transform YCC to CIE lab for mid-tones and work for
the shadows and high-lights. Monitor calibration is
necesary and of course, colour temperature! But if
you are very interested in getting drum quality from
your PhotoCD disks, buy ColorPRO from BINUSCAN. The
best colour tool ever developed.
