Robin,

I hope you realize that the 3-pin connector expects high voltage to be
applied. This is what the Olympus AC adapters 2 and 3 will do properly
for almost all T-series flashes.
You can also use the Quantum Turbo Power source for this purpose - and
that is where the special connectors come in. Quantum has connectors
for their Turbo batteries, but of course you could use them also for
any setup made by yourself.

If you want to go the low-voltage way: Think of using Quantum 1
batteries (6 volt).
