That isn't a high price. I see them sell for $350-450 in good
condition, with the only examples falling below that being damaged
models or victims of a bad week (for sellers)on eBay (where I got
mine).

It's a nice lens, but I haven't yet decided if I'll keep mine. John H
is giving it a CLA at the moment, and I'll have to lug it a while to
see if I can live with the slow speed and the weight. In the past
year or so, I've become a real prime lens kind of guy and seldom use
even my 35-70 that used to be my default running around lens.
