I have tried this on both my OM-10 and my son's OM-10, both pre-fire the
mirror and aperture when you press the shutter release, then the shutter
opens at the end of the self timer period (obviously !).  Note that the
mirror goes almost all the way up on pre-fire but only completes its travel
just prior to the shutter opening.
