It would help to know the context of when this is happening.  Is it when
you are doing macro work with extension rings? Or is it with a
relatively slow lens?  Or even with a nice macro lens but close-up like
1:1 with a 50mm lens.  

The quickest answer is to change to a 2 series view screen but that will
require recalibration the camera (OM1, OM2, but not OM3, or OM 4).  The
reason for the questions is to remove other possible situations that
wouldn't be helped as much by changing screens.
