Galen Rowell has written extensively about aerial photography (I
believe he even has a portion of a site dedicated to this). He uses
fast primes (in Nikon 35 & 85 /1.4) and high shutter speeds, shooting wide
open if needed. In my modest aerial forays (where a lot of water was
involved), I found a polarizer useful.
