Even though the 50/1.2 is somewhat heftier than the 1.4/1.8/3.5 (the 50s in
my stable), I find it a really comfortable lens to use--fits nicely in my
hand & the 1.2 helps when it comes to focusing. There is something very
satisfying about having all that glass working for me.

I find that I'm using a 50 more and more--either that or the 35/2 (which I
also love). The quality of these standard lens--IMHO--is so good that I'm
seldom disappointed with the results.

Interesting point. I knew that some of my 50-fotos had a certain je ne sais
quoi that I found appealing. No I know what it's called. Thanks.

To sum then. Get the 50/1.2.
Glen
Ps. I'm dying to see how it stacks up against the 55/1.2--another lens I
covet.
