: Anybody have any recomendations on a slide projector? This would be for
: personal viewing and friends. I feel totally clueless here.

After reading a couple of tests, I selected the Kindermann Silent 2500. As
the name suggests, the noise of the ventilator has been extremely well
suppressed - it's probably the most silent projector in the world. The 250W
lamp allows you to use projection distances of more than 4m, which also can
be an advantage. It falls in a medium price category. It can be upgraded to
a dual projection system with the (more expensive) Kindermann Silent 2500
MPC. A nice upgrade for the cheap standard lens (90mm/F2.8) would be the
high resolution Kindermann 90mm/F2.4 MC-B lens, which has a built-in
diaphragm. My second choice would have been the nice priced Leica Pradovit
P150.
