My other half has the 140 also. Same observations with three additional:

1. The lenses on both are slow if you are used to an SLR with fast primes.
 From a comparison table in a catalog:  the 140 has an f/4~f/11 (38-140mm);
the IS-3 has an f/4.5~5.6 (35-180). The 140 starts slightly faster but is
twice as slow when zoomed out. You can run into trouble using the zoom and
medium speed film (ASA 100 or less). The other half uses ASA 200 color
negative without too much trouble.

2. The built in flash units are weak compared to a T-20 and especially a
T-32 or F-280. You will not be able to reach across a large living room as
easily, especially the 140 if it is zoomed out to 140mm @ f/11. I don't
have the GN's so you might want to ask about them to get a feel for the
range you will have based on the film speeds you plan to use.

3. Make sure you have a spare battery(ies). It is Lithium (CR-123) with a
price tag for one higher than powering an OM SLR body. It powers
everything: program mode, AF, winding, zoom and flash. If you do much
zooming and flash it will consume it (them) faster than you expect.
According to the table, the 140 uses one and the IS-3 uses two.
