After my experience it is not necessary to glue the rubber, if the ring so
broad as with this zoom lens. After removing and tighten the screws, clean
both the rubber and the lens (eventually exchange parts of transparent tape
under the rubber if necessary) and the rubber should hold strong enough
after reaffixing.
