Yes I'm aware the 3 and 4 do 1/2000...I was looking for above that
(1/4000+).
Reason for my question was a few weeks ago I had an ISO 100 film put in my
OM-4Ti with a 50mm F1.4 (which happened to be set at the largest aperture).
Perth had a beautiful sunny cloudless day and I was keen to take some
pictures
of my mum's roses.

Anyway, even before I stepped out of the door, my camera started beeping...I
looked through the viewfinder and it said that it was overexposed!! Not
having
done manual photography for a very long time (which was the reason why I
bought
the OM-4Ti...to re-learn "proper" photography) I was surprised that with an
ISO
100 film, and 1/2000 capable camera would complain of overexposure. Fair
enough
F1.4 is quite wide, but I had to stop it down till F4 before the meter would
stop beeping (i.e. 1/2000 -> 1/1000 sec). Note that I wasn't even pointing
the
camera to the sunlight. Two possibilities, either my camera meter was
stuffed or
I had very bad judgement. After asking a few questions on the newsgroups,
the
conclusion was "I had bad judgement" :-).

Anyway, since then I realised the practicalities of high speed shuttered
cameras
which I could never see before (except for sports). All in all, with ISO
100,
1/2000 sec and F4, my mum's rose came out quite well, however I wished I
could
have played with the depth of field a little more.

Sean
P.S. W.R.T. the topic of OM-4Ti, yes the champagne coloured one does have a
coating...and like Gary Reese of Las Vegas, I like this colour too...
sorta brings out the "feminine" side of me :-) (YES I'M JOKING!!)
