I cut a piece of 3m's black electrical tape to fit the areas of concern.
The residue from 3m tape is next to nothing even after 5-6 years on metal
and most plastics. The vertical edges of the hinged door get a strip too
for the day the light wants to leak in. Cheap, and always effective.
