The name "power focus" is sort of misleading for me. As for the use of
buttons for focusing, it should be using the same stepper motor mechanism
of the autofocus for manual focusing. It is kind of inefficient.
But otherwise, there is the question of "where should they put the
focusing ring?"

I wonder why they don't try  to build an "all in one, as much as
possible" camera. It's like they have to trade of some features every time
they introduce new products. Sometimes the lost features are simplicity 
and ease of use. May be they want the customers to make selections.
